Soft Sand, Calm Seas
June 8, 2021
Day trips can be a little unsettling for me, at times, mostly because I find myself wondering if the day should have been used to read or write, if the time would have better spent stationary, at home. It’s a faulty and internal logic, of course, because no one cares about this but me, and yet it still plagues me when I hop in the car or pack a temporary bag. Nevertheless, this was my day trip to the central west coast of Florida, mostly known as Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg. My intention was to rise early enough to make the drive and catch the sunset off one of the eastern facing piers, but wouldn’t you know it, I was up too late reading and overslept. So alas, these were the best of west Florida.
