The last time I drove through Scranton, I made a point of visiting the Mall at Steamtown, trying to snag a picture in front of The Office sign. At the time, that felt like the biggest draw to this big little small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. But two to three weeks after the election, it seemed only fitting, as we were resting in a nearby cabin, that we would go searching for the home where Joe Biden grew up, at least for a few years. Turns out, they’ve already added a street sign in this modest, close-knit community near churches and schools, where the kids still run and play outside, even in the bitter cold.
