Aside from testing my fear of heights in a towering hotel (I literally got weak in the knees and couldn’t look down), my visit through Atlanta was mostly rooted in historical reverence, visits to the Carter Foundation as well as the birthplace and the final resting place of Martin Luther King, Jr. But it was a final stop off at the Botanical Gardens that a more distant reflection of a city that hovers over and hosts the great leaders of Georgia’s history.
