This week, with the passing of George H. W. Bush last November, Jimmy Carter became the oldest living president in American history. But this week also coincided with my trip through Georgia, where I visited the place Carter was born, the school he attended as a child, the farm where he was raised, the offices where he campaigned, the church where he still preaches, and the center where he has arguably done more humanitarian work than any post-president in our history. Doesn’t matter if you’re left or right politically, Jimmy Carter has always been a good man. And we need more like him.
