From the cool blue skylines to the Faneuil Hall proposal to the Boston Common skaters at sunset (and the squirrel that bombed our shot), we experienced a frigid, but memorable day in Melissa’s favorite northeastern city. But knowing we would be in this area, and knowing that I had just finished teaching the American Revolution, I promised my students that I’d visit the grave of John Hancock, since he had that great big signature. Seems there’s a lot to take away from the gravestone. Because some men are, um, bigger than others.
